// Fashion: Troubadour//

Literally, just yesterday I was whining about how it is hard to find brands that really embody that current “Brooklyn Hipster/Creative” style for ladies. You know the men have: Ernest AlexanderThe Brooklyn Circus, etc. I feel that these days it’s quite easier for to nail the key ingredients for guys: roll up those pants boys, make sure to layer with texture and patterns, pull on those oxfords, and most importantly grow that beard.

Ladies! Just imagine how thrilled I was to stumble upon Troubadour by Lindsey Carter. And I bet many of you will not be surprised by the fact that the line comes out of Charleston, South Carolina… There is a lot hapenning over there these days..

Don’t you just love the photos from Troubadour’s Spring/Summer 2012 Lookbook? I am definitely inspired. I have been trying to figure out how to transition my neutrals from winter to summer and now I feel infused with some briliant ideas.

something about this reminded me of fievel.. have you ever seen that movie? I must have seen it at a very impressionable age because every once in awhile it randomly pops into my head.

my family is so good to me… they go to great lengths a times for my fashion obsession. I probably shouldn’t mention the time I chased a guy down in Bryant Park to compliment him about his leather satchel? what can I say, some things just brighten my day. this morning my sister snapped this photo for me, on her bus ride, because she knew I would appreciate the gentleman’s style… and bag!

And over weekend while my dad and I were at OddFellows, I spotted a guy wearing an amazing bag! I kept going on and on about it to my Dad, without my even asking he went up to him to find out where it was from (my dad thought it was a pretty great bag as well). Turns it was from Working Class Heroes… the only problem was that the bag came out in 2008.

bus appropriate = yes, snow route = no
isn’t it the best when a friend sees something and they call, text, write you to tell you it has made them think of you? I received this image via text today and absolutely adore it. something about it is tinged with memories of the brothers bloom… and I think it could totally work for riding the bus, well maybe a couple of months after we have dug ourselves out of this snow…

can you just imagine waking up in the morning to put this on?
no special occasion at all… you just feel like wearing a flowy perfectly plaid dress.
